Two days ago my family received a letter from my little cousin Hector. It was nothing special, just a greeting and a friendly update on his families past doings. He also asked how our family was doing. The whole time me and my mother were reading it, we had smiles on our faces. And I asked myself, "How can such a simple letter from a 5th grader make me and my mother so happy?" I was smiling because out of all the people he could of sent it to he sent it to our family. And he is a really sweat boy. Maybe if I sent a letter to everyone I knew, it might bring a smile to their face and a few moments of joy. What if I sent a letter to people in hospitals, just a little hello and that there are people out there wishing the best to them. HMM...what if's what if's.

I love this idea!
Funny, I think because email and texting have become such primary means of being in touch, the old fashioned snail mail letter seems even more significant, more special. I received a handwritten letter from a friend not to long ago; she'd written one night when she just couldn't sleep. When it arrived, I felt like I'd received a gift.
I completely agree and I don't know what's others reasons for not doing so myself imparticulary get very hung up on going to work, school, and studying that most of the time I rarely have time to sit back and enjoy my on pice of mind. I barely talk to my friends unless the call me and that's rare for someone my age.
But maybe that's thing maybe we all need to sit back and look at the world around us and really grasp what we are doing and saying about ouurselves. We are letting Life pass us by and if you feel differently define Life or Living?
this is a really cute blog... just reading it made me smile. It makes me think about a letter that i sent when i was younger to some of my family in texas, and it really didnt say much it just had a picture with a heart that said i love you, and my mom signed my named on it so they would no who it was fun i hope mine was as special to them as it was to you all when your family member sent it.
